About Rick Dwyer
Rick Dwyer, Principal of Real Estate Advisory Services, specializes as a Residential Care Facility Consultant representing existing RCFE owner/licensees in development, remodeling and expansion of existing Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly and Developmentally Disabled Facility (CCLD/ICF) licensees. Rick is also a Certified Administrator, (Cert # 6004478740). He also assists in securing construction, permanent financing and refinancing for care facilities.
Rick, Principal of R.E.A.S. has over 50 years experience in the Real Estate industry as a Broker, Developer and Consultant of Commercial and Residential Real Estate. Rick started his career in 1961 as a real estate professional selling single family homes for the Williams, Bowker & Ward Company. In 1963 he started as a real estate sales person for Coldwell Banker Commercial Real Estate with offices in San Francisco and Sacramento.
In late 1964 Rick obtained his Real Estate Brokers License and started his own company, at age of 28, selling and developing apartment houses and unimproved land. In 1968 Rick focused on developing land and securing entitlements for commercial and residential subdivisions. In 1971 he formed a new commercial brokerage and development company, named Dwyer & Pries, Inc. with partner Fred Pries, focusing on 1031 tax deferred exchanges for clients wishing to sell their properties on a tax deferred exchange basis.
In 1974 Rick became an Owner/Broker with Donavan, Ravizza & Witzel Realtors (DRW Realtors), a large local residential brokerage firm in Sacramento. He organized and directed their new Commercial & Investment Division and assisted in expanding the company from 4 to 9 offices.
In 1980 the company sold itself to Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate Company. In 1980, Rick, with several Brokers from DRW Realtors, formed a new company with several other prominent local Brokers named The Real Estate Forum, a collection of 17 local independent brokers.
In 1984 Rick formed a new development company known as Dwyer-Davis with an old friend from his High School days, Andy Davis. The company acquired, syndicated, developed and managed commercial and multifamily properties in California and Oregon.
In 1992, Rick started a new company, Real Estate Advisory Services, which is the Principal Company to date. R.E.A.S. a real estate consulting company, provides consulting, financing and development services for clients on a fee basis. Principal activities in this arena are as Residential Care Consultants for the Elderly, Gas Station and other Commercial Development, securing Development Entitlements, Financing, (Construction and Permanent) and Construction Management.
For the past 6 years Rick’s primary focus has been as a Residential Care Consultant for the Elderly representing Owner/Operators who want to expand their current facilities or develop new facilities.
